Do-It-Yourself Solar Screen Kit
Save money and build the screens yourself. We developed this kit that consist of all the materials you will need to do the job yourself.

Superior frame and 1 crossbar
Phifer SunTex Solar Screen
Spline
Frame corners

Installing Your Solar Screens
Your Do-it-yourself Solar Screen Kit should come with 8-12 mounting clips (swivel clips). You should use 2 1/2" #8 Wood screws with a hex or phillips head screw or #8 3" Drywall TEK screws with a Phillips head (screws are not included with the kit).
Providing the screen was measured properly for your window, it should overlap all sides about 1/2". For medium size windows, 8 swivel clips should be enough for hanging your screen. Placement should be near the corners of the screen as shown in the above illustration and spaced more towards the center on larger screens.
